Since Bart was supervising the work done in the temple this past shut down we got to have a cool experience. They changed the Moroni with a new one. Evidently it is cheaper to take the old one down and put up a new one than take it down, fix it and put it back up. (They do recycle the old ones on other temples as the refurbish them.) As a family we got to go and watch it take place. It was long day but well worth it. After they took the old one off we got to go over and touch it and also take our picture by it. What a feeling...just like when we met Elder Nelson. Dad reminded me it is not the statue or person but the spiritual experience that goes with it. So true. We have been so blessed this year with special spiritual experiences. Moroni is 13 feet 6 inches tall and his hands are huge! He has so much detail all over him. It was amazing to see him up close.

Was this event in Woodburn? We are in Canada but spent some time on vacation in Temple Square in Salt Lake City. What an awesome place. Got to hear and see the Morman Tabernacle Choir.. It was such an interesting place we could have spent a month there...
Anyway the Moroni is beautiful
