We enjoyed our Thanksgiving and are getting ready for Christmas. Kisiah turns two a week before Christmas and Ben turns thirteen the week after so we are preparing for a month long party! Just how I like it!
Rebekah is six months this week and growing strong. She sits up mostly on her own and shows signs of crawling. She just had her bottom two teeth poke thru and is throughly enjoying eating food. She is such a content and happy baby. She loves to laugh and found her voice in a very high and loud shrill! Won't that be lovely in church.
Kisiah informed me she didn't want a happy birthday she wanted a yucky one! So I am trying my best to make it yucky! Don't know if she has watched too much Sesame Street and is a grouchkateer or just being obstinate. She thinks Rebekah is still her baby and not too happy when she has to share. I can't leave them alone for long as she will try to pick Rebekah up or sits on her. Such a helper.
Arika lost another tooth and sure looks like a jack-o-lantern. She has been singing all she wants for Christmas in her two front teeth (and a few more). Her Papa Hedrick asked her for a loan as she is surely rich from the tooth fairy! That made her giggle. She is reading like crazy and at parent teacher they told me she reads and comprehends at third grade level. She recently tested at 105 words per minute! She has been devouring the Magic Tree House series. It is fun when all she wants to do is read.
Katlynne still enjoys school and the social world of it. She is counting down the days till she is twelve and can go to Young Womens. She just read the twilight books and really enjoyed them. She is really excited about Christmas this year. I think it is because she earned money and then got gifts for everyone on her own. She is excited to give them to us. She is such a sweetheart.
Ben is still enjoying wrestling and will finish up right before Christmas. He is trying to decide if he will do track too. He absolutely loves scouting and camping out. Last year we went on a sandrail beach trip on his birthday. This year we will be on the youth winter activity.
Bart has been loaded with work. That has been a great blessing as most contractors are out of work now. He decided Wednesday afternoon to take the carpet out of the dining room and put to hardwood floor down that we bought over a year ago. So during mutual, which ended at our house he was laying the flooring. He was trying to get it all done since playgroup was here Thursday. Well at nine thirty he peeked in and told me to call Michelle to come be with the kids and take him to the hospital. He was so calm about it but I knew it was bad if he was asking to go. So we spent the wee hours in the ER. They cleaned him up and killed the pain and sent him home. No play group as we went to a plastic surgeon Thursday instead. Bart cut his left thumb off just below the nail. The surgeon looked his thumb over and decided she could pull the skin up around the bone and sew it shut. So we go Saturday to have that done. Now Bart has to slow down and let others help him. He was really bugged about the floor almost being done as ha had six pieces to put in! So a neighbor and friend came over and finished for us. It is beautiful but I'm not sure worth the cost! Some of the best blood... He has a great sense of humor about it all. Told his mom that he was getting a boob job and botox when he goes back! If all goes well he can do light work again in a week. We were certainly blessed that it wasn't worse.
As for me...i'm busy keeping up with the just of the family!
We love you all and hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Tell Bart I hope he gets feeling better soon! I know how those rush floor jobs go and how hard it is to quit when you are so close. I put in 3 wood floors this past year in our house.
Glad to hear your kids are doing well. We love you guys!
