Well it was a crazy October so I thought I'd share the fun...here goes.
My wonderful husband thought he'd show me how much I was loved and throw me a surprise birthday party. Only he got the surprise when I never came home! I saw the cars in the drive and just kept driving. It basically put me in a panic attack. He finally called and I finally answered and he talked me into coming home by saying that Bekah needed me. Otherwise I might still be driving. Who knew I'd still be bothered by those baby blues. We all can laugh about it now but it was pretty bad at the time. He felt bad. i felt bad. The people that came for it were totally lost. Lets just say I had a lot of explaining to do.
Well we all got the flu/cold going around normal.
Then Bart took Ben on a special father son sand rail trip to celebrate football season over and also a good book report as Ben struggles in that area.
They got there Friday night and set up camp. Then went for a night ride. Well they got on a wrong trail and ended up stuck! Had to walk back to camp in the dark with no moon. Bart figures over two miles of walking in deep sand. Yes they were sore the next day. Found someone to help them out the next morning and got back to playing on the rail and ran out of gas! But they were not about to walk again so they stayed put watching the others play till someone came and asked if they needed help. This could be cause for embarrassment but Bart got to ride in a very fancy rail and now plans to run out of gas ever trip! He got to go over a hundred miles an hour in it!
Yesterday was Halloween and Michelle got away but caught us again so that is all I need to say for that. But Ben went missing after wrestling practice and I looked everywhere for him with no luck. Finally he showed up back at the school. He had run some errands with another family but didn't think he needed to let me know. Ha!
This morning after my missionary coordination meeting I took the kids to get the flu shot. Somewhere along the way we got a flat tire but didn't notice till I went to take Kate to a birthday party. Good thing we were home and had the truck to take. Bart was away doing home teaching duties. So Ben and I got it off. It took alot but we finally managed. Then had to buy a new one for it as it had a huge hole in it. But the back two have to match so I have to go back Monday for the other one. Got it home and Ben put it back on. He was so happy to use his scout skills...thanks Michelle. Bart will check it when he gets home before we take off for church! I was happy to have him, even though I know there were men in the ward that would have come to help. I still have to pick up Kate so pray we make it home ok. This is pretty much a normal month for us just different happenings. I try to clean it up for publishing purposes.
I love you all and hope you are healthy and happy. We are.

I won't have gone home either but I'm old and the house would have caught on fire from the candles.

Wow sounds like lots of fun at your house. I agree about the surprise party thing. I enjoy going to others parties but not my own. Wish you all the best
