Well if I can remember how to do this I will try to play catch up... Can't believe my last post was in July! Wow that's a lot of catch up!
Now where to start? Guess I start with the present and go backwards. That way I might get something on here before next July.
We had an unusual Christmas this year. Ben and Kate asked for a trip to play in the 4 wheelers for Christmas so we decided to break with tradition and go to Florence before Christmas instead of for New Years. So we went to the beach to play for four days. Since we were staying in a trailer and not a Yert this year Grandma offered to keep the three youngest girls for a few of those days.
So Monday we drove to Florence and got there too late to play in the light so we just unpacked and went to bed. Tuesday Bart took the girls that would be leaving after lunch for a ride on the sandrail. They had fun rides that the weather was fine...just cold. Grandma and Papa Hedrick came and Papa rode on the sandrail and then the 4 wheelers with Bart. We had lunch and talk and they packed up and went to Glide, anticipating meeting us on Christmas Eve in Woodburn. Bart, Ben , Kate and I decided to go to town and get a few needed items. We shopped and got back too late to ride, so we watched a movie on the laptop and went to bed. So far not too much play for the two that asked for this as their gift! Ben woke us up Wednesday morning running out the trailer to throw up! Yeah not a good start to the day. He decided later to go ride and was fine after that. Kate rode and then decided she was sick too and threw up around lunch time. So Bart and I went to town and got some crackers and gas and gateraid. I made a small dinner as Bart thought he didn't feel too well and we went to bed. In the morning everyone felt fine but me. So they took turns riding and went with our friends Ron and Kim to the beach.
I felt better after napping and took a ride after lunch.
It was beautiful. We went out to the beach and then found a new trail to come back on...It was covered in water but we made it. Played and had fun. Then I got brave and took each of the kids out to play on the 4 wheelers. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and we had some fun. Packed up and came home. Well while we were sick at the beach the girls were sick at Glide too. Poor Grandma didn't know what she was getting into with her offer to take them. Arika threw up all week and Kisiah had diarrhea all week, throwing up once. Bekah was just a poop they said! By Friday Grandma woke up sick. I called the Dr. about Kisiah still not being better and they told me to take her to the urgent care and get a culture done. So we drove to Roseburg and met the family at the urgent care. We sat there for two hours and left with no culture because evidently she was done pooping! Drove home and went to bed. Christmas morning Bart woke us up at seven am (usually I am waking everyone up a lot earlier because I can't wait any longer) and we opened gifts. I had to make a ham because I had defrosted it but no one really wanted one. We cleaned and unpacked. Kisiah mostly watched the other kids play. I felt bad for her. Sunday I got the stomach flu and stayed in bed the whole day. Pepto became my best friend :(
Monday I felt better and ended up taking Bekah to the DR. Ear infection. Yeah we wont forget this Christmas. Guess if the kids ask for another trip as a present we say NO!

What a Christmas to remember. The most memorable for me as a child was being sick on Christmas day so maybe your kids will find this to be a fond memory. Hope the new year starts with good weather.
A VERY different Christmas for sure. Would prefer enjoying the company of our family but knowing we're together in heart.
