Well Kate had her birthday the first week of March so I am a little behind on my blog. She turned 13! I know I can't believe it either. She did ask for a party or to have any friends over so it was a quiet birthday. She decided last year that she wanted to earn her Yong Woman Medallion on there 13th birthday since it was on Sunday. I told her that I would do it with her. She worked every Sunday and some days in between. I also worked but not as diligently. So in Jan she said she was still on schedule to get it. I looked at my book and decided I had time to finish too. So she worked and finished and I found myself the night of her interview wishing for more hours in the day! I did finish but it was way harder than she made it look. She is so self motivated and has always set goals and stayed on track (on her own) to reach them. I am not so disciplined. So she was able to receive her medallion on her birthday. It is a new one and so beautiful. Kate also already has plans to do more and earn the Bee. What a great example she is to me and her little sisters. They love her and are love to be around her. I count on her a lot as she is always helping me in the home and with the other children. She starts softball and will play for the city and school teams. This year will be her 6th year with the city team and 1st for the school. It is a passion for her and she does very well. I can't wait to post some videos of her games. Happy Birthday Kate! Love ya!

Kylie and I can't believe she did it! We are in awe! I will be coming to Portland again in April sometime. I told my friend I thought you lived somewhere close. Maybe I could stop by and meet your amazing family. I'll let you know when my appointment is. Tell your daughter we really admire her hard work and she's motivated us:)
Congrats Kate. What a great accomplishment. Love the new necklace and want to work on getting it. Love the concept of the bee too to keep girls going. Yeah Kate and Happy belated birthday
Great job to both of you! That is a great accomplishment. Give her a hug from us and tell her great job. Love you guys!
